I offer 1-1 and 1-2 personal training sessions at the Hurst Leisure Centre. The gym opens at 5pm but I can also offer exclusive use of the gym outside of the opening times meaning you will have the gym to yourself!
All personal training sessions are specific to you based on your needs and goals. I have experience of working with people with injuries and making sessions work around any potential concerns you have while also attempting to strengthen and give you more confidence.
As my client you will gain access to my app where you will be able to log all your workouts and track your progress. The app comes with an option to notify me once you have completed your workout which will help with accountability while also allowing me the opportunity to update the program to ensure you are getting the most out of your time in the gym.
The gym comes complete with cardiovascular machines, resistance machines, a free weights area with a squat rack, bench press, cable machines and dumbbells that go up to 40kg. There is also a functional room complete with battle rope, rope suspension trainer, kettle bells, sand bags, slam balls and more.
By working with me, you have made sure you have someone holding you accountable. You wouldn’t plan to have lunch with a friend and keep cancelling on them, and a personal trainer works in the same way. We have all promised ourselves in bed we will get up in the morning and do some exercise. Having a session booked with me, means you are far more likely to stick to it. I am here to help you, one-on-one, meaning you feel more motivated to work hard and turn up to sessions.
If the idea of heading to the weight section in the gym fills you with dread, or you have always fancied using some of the machines but are unsure about how to get the most out of them, having personal training sessions can help you build your confidence. Being shown how to properly structure your workouts, using equipment in the right way with the perfect form or just having someone there by your side can take a lot of pressure off of working out. Whatever you feel is holding you back, I could help you feel more confident in the gym and beyond with exercise.
Having a personal trainer is a huge benefit if you are unsure of how to get started on working towards your goals in a way that suits you best. I can have a look at your goals, personal requirements, and abilities to then create a plan which is specifically tailored to you and your needs. This can help you work towards your goals, produce results in a time frame which suits you, done in a way that works with your body. My job is to know how to write exercise programmes which get the best out of you.
It can often be easy to start exercising with no direction or plan, a few sit-ups here, a 10 minute run there. Moving in any sense is always better than not, but if you have specific goals you want to achieve, exercising with a plan can help you reach your targets in an efficient way. With me your workout can be structured right down to the number of reps you do, to help you work smarter, not harder (well, maybe a little bit hard). It may be the case that you do plan your workouts but have stopped seeing results, I can help you to identify the problems and work on a solution together.
If you struggle to exercise because class timetables or clubs simply don’t work with your schedule, a personal training session could be the perfect solution. I can work with you to figure out the days and times that suit your busy life. You might feel you have more energy in the morning, or perhaps you have a lot of commitments on certain evenings, whatever keeps you busy, personal training is designed to be just that, personal. This means I can schedule in sessions based on your free time.
